What is the Faro?

It is a platform that seeks to support communities and landowners in the management of Private and Social Protected Areas in the Yucatan Peninsula (APPS-PY).

What's the goal of this site?

To use tools and develop capacities for the establishment, management, administration, and promotion of private and social reserves that contribute strategically to biodiversity conservation, the maintenance of ecological processes, and ecosystem connectivity in the Yucatan Peninsula.

How can these objectives be achieved?

This platform consists of four sections that seek to disseminate information on conservation tools in the Yucatan Peninsula, with an emphasis on collectively and privately owned property, as well as to encourage the exchange of local and traditional knowledge through feedback, the exchange of technical information, and the use of digital tools.

Who can use this platform?

Anyone interested in consolidating their properties within the framework of nature conservation programs, current managers of private and social properties, decision-makers, and the general public interested in initiating or deepening their knowledge of private area conservation.
